BF3 Points System

Kill Points
• Kill enemy: 100 points
• Knife kill: 300 points
• Comeback kill: 60 points
• Headshot bonus: +10 points
• Eliminate enemy squad: +10 points
• Savior bonus: +20 points
• Avenger bonus: +10 points
• Destroy vehicle: 200 points
• Disable vehicle: 100 points

Assist points:
• Kill assist: from 10 to 60 points
• Spot assist: 10 points
• Squad kill assist: from 10 to 60 points
• Squad spot assist: 20 points
• Suppressive fire assist: +10 points
• Squad spawn on you: +10 points

M-COM objective points:
• M-COM arm: 200 points
• M-COM disarm: 200 points
• M-COM destroy: 200 points
• M-COM attack bonus: +20 points
• M-COM defend bonus: +20 points

Support
• Revive teammate: 100 points
• Squad revive: +20 points
• Squad Spawn on you: 10 points
• Repair: +20 points
• Squad repair: +30 points

Wow, 100 points for a kill now, more incentive for a screw u, I need a good K/D ratio mentality.

I agree looks like Dice really did go the COD way to do things

i think a better way to do the point system would be for point rewards to be based off game modes.

I.E. in a TDM like game mode kills would reward large amounts of point but in Conquest it would be much lower

I dunno though. It's 200 points for MCOM, 100 for a disabled vehicle, 200 for a destroyed vehicle. Just based on how they elevated most things, I doubt it will make that much of a difference. But I do wish that a knife kill wasn't worth 300 points. It just seems stupid to me (Not knifing, the points for it though)

Well this just looks terrible.
I was in some conversation on the Steam forums about how the game could reinforce team-play and the points system was the main thing everyone brought up. Higher rewards for team actions = more people playing for the team and less "one man army" douchebags. Looks like nobody cares about that since COD makes so much money. Sigh...

I mean, the highest single point reward is for a GODDAMNED KNIFE KILL. 300? Are you kidding me? You should get less for a knife because it means you were a crappy enough shot to let someone get that close to you. This just incentivizes people to run around trying to knife eachother like idiots.

Ha, a knife kill is worth 50% more than destroying an mcom. Ha.

Well... DICE has changed the points value of a number of things in BFBC2 after it came out, so maybe they will do the same with BF3. Right now it looks like they aim to please joe rambo.

The good news is it isn't insta-knife anymore. You actually have to switch to your knife like you do a weapona and then use it. Hopefully, the delay is long enough between the switch and being able to use it.
